Ever wondered why life is so irritating? Its not the hopelessly inept government, the selfish behaviour of other motorists, the endless pap they feed us on our televisions and computers. Well, yes, actually, it is all these things.

But theres more. Its the unopenable cat food sachet, the constantly growing weeds on the patio, the incomprehensibility of instruction booklets, the circle of death that rotates on our devices, the word devices itself. We are all assailed by these things, in our homes and at our workplaces day in and day out. Do we complain? Yes. To whom? Ourselves or our nearest and dearest, because those really responsible – the makers of gadgets that dont work and purveyors of tut that should not be purveyed – are unaccountable and unreachable.
