Fourth Day

Allyson Sanchez became a federal agent because her best friend vanished. Vanessa disappeared from their college dorm without a trace, leaving behind a cold case that never stopped haunting her. Years later, in the middle of a high‑risk ATF operation, Allysons phone rings—and the voice on the other end is the one she thought shed never hear again. Vanessa is alive. Using a different name. And she says someone is hunting her.

Before Allyson can get answers, the call drops. Deputy US Marshal Sal Alvarez knows how easily hope can be weaponized, and he isnt convinced this reappearance is what it seems. As he digs into Vanessas new identity, he finds missing years, altered records, and connections that dont add up. A rebuilt life. A buried past. And someone who may be watching Allyson search.

Allyson doesnt care if its dangerous—if her friend is alive, shes going to find her. But the evidence begins pointing toward something bigger than a long‑ago disappearance, and the director of the Northwest Counter‑Terrorism Taskforce warns that this could be a trap.

Sal is already questioning his future with the team. Now the woman he cant walk away from is running straight toward danger. If Vanessa isnt who she claims to be, Allyson wont just lose answers this time—she could lose everything.
