Green Greenwich

Green Greenwich reveals the many green spaces in the Royal Borough of Greenwich in south east London. Candy Blackham has spent three years exploring the woods, flowery meadows, parks and nature reserves with her camera. She shares with us her enjoyment of the many sites which are found around almost every corner, and all within forty minutes of central London. Each site has a brief historical description and photographs which tempt us to go walking every day of the year as the trees change from bare branches to green leaves, and then the brilliant jewel-like colours of autumn. As you walk in the parks discover herons, foxes, many varieties of butterflies and other insects, and of course the ever-present ring-necked parakeets.
