HEPTA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Sinopsis
Since 2024, AI has been reshaping software development. More quietly, but more deeply, than most are willing to admit.
Coding agents write code that ships to production. The classic junior role is eroding, and teams are finding that specifying and reviewing count for more than typing. Yet most management models come from a world before the agents.
This book rethinks IT management for exactly that turning point. It joins the proven foundations (Lean, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, OKR, ITIL) with the new realities of agent-based delivery. Not another framework, but the layer above them: the Hepta Management System (HeptaMS).
The seven senses of an IT organization
Direction (OKR): strategy and focus instead of busywork Leadership (Management 3.0): self-organization with ownership Flow (Lean): value stream instead of utilization Cadence (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe): a rhythm that fits the work Stability (ITIL): dependable operations without bureaucracy Collaboration (DevOps): from idea to production Reach (Sourcing): extending your own delivery capacityThe continuous AI thread
Eight chapters run through the book as a connecting thread and carry the seven senses into the world of agents: from the anatomy of todays coding agents through teams in the age of AI and spec-driven development to security, operations and the forensics of AI-induced incidents. With data instead of hype.
What you take away
How coding agents really work and what the architecture-focused role means for your teams Spec-driven development and the hybrid implementation hypothesis How to secure agent-based systems and work through AI incidents blamelessly The gap between perceived and real productivity (METR, GitClear, DORA) Which framework gives the most leverage in which situation, from START to RECOVERWho this book is for
For CIOs, CTOs, IT leaders, architects and team leads. 45 chapters across six parts, constructive rather than missionary: where theory did not fit practice, practice won.
