LEARN TO SAY NO WITHOUT GUILT
Sinopsis
Learn to Say No Without Guilt follows Isidora, a talented photo-restorer who has spent years saying yes to everyone around her while neglecting her own needs. She automatically agrees to requests from her boss, family members, neighbors, and even strangers, only to experience exhaustion, resentment, and overwhelming guilt when she considers saying no.
With the encouragement of her lifelong friend Briseis, Isidora meets Amadeus, a former lawyer who now works as a bookbinder and teaches them a simple approach to establishing boundaries. Through small daily exercises—pausing before answering, distinguishing between a chosen yes and a reflexive yes, tolerating guilt, and recognizing that guilt is a feeling rather than a fact—Isidora gradually learns that saying no does not make her selfish or unkind.
As she begins setting boundaries with her boss, family, and others, she discovers that guilt may remain even when a boundary is healthy. Rather than immediately giving in to that feeling, she learns to stay with it and trust her own choices. Her journey becomes a gradual process of self-respect, emotional awareness, and reclaiming the right to rest, choose, and define the limits of her own life.
