Sinopsis

What if the love of your life refused to surrender—even to death itself?
Ligeia, by Edgar Allan Poe, is a haunting masterpiece of Gothic fiction that explores the mysterious boundaries between love, death, obsession, memory, and the supernatural.
The narrator recalls Ligeia, a woman of extraordinary beauty, intelligence, and strength of character whose influence over him remains powerful even after her death. Unable to escape his memories of her, he becomes consumed by grief and fascination with the woman he once loved.
After Ligeias death, the narrator marries Lady Rowena, moving with her into an ancient and gloomy abbey. Yet the memory of Ligeia continues to dominate his thoughts. The isolated surroundings, mysterious atmosphere, and narrators increasingly troubled state of mind create a growing sense of unease.
As Rowenas health deteriorates under strange circumstances, the boundary between reality and hallucination begins to blur. The narrator witnesses events that challenge everything he believes about death and the possibility of returning from beyond the grave.
Poes richly atmospheric prose transforms the story into a psychological exploration of obsessive love and the desperate refusal to accept loss. The narrators uncertain perspective leaves the reader questioning whether the supernatural has truly entered his world or whether everything can be explained through his troubled mind.
Ligeia combines Gothic atmosphere, psychological horror, mystery, supernatural elements, and romantic obsession, making it one of Poes most intriguing and enduring tales.
This Spanish edition is ideal for readers interested in Edgar Allan Poe, Gothic literature, classic horror, supernatural fiction, psychological suspense, mysterious stories, and classic literature in Spanish.
Enter the shadowy world of Ligeia, where love challenges death and the human will refuses to accept the impossible. Discover one of Edgar Allan Poes most mysterious and psychologically haunting tales.

Edgar Allan Poe
