Sinopsis
Gaultheria Wagner is married to Musayemura two days after her death.
She leaves behind a guilt-ridden sister, Iyarwai, who learns that Musayemura is entitled to an
inheritance wife-herself! In a short span of time, Iyarwai finds herself married to this famous
pastor who informs her he intends to keep her a secret and drives this home by marrying his
long-time fiancé, who is dead set on getting rid of Iyarwai. Iyarwai acquiesces believing it is
penance for her sisters death, but she catches Musayemura in a lie that paints him in a different
picture-he has a secret. This secret has something to do with her sisters death, and she is going to
stop at nothing until she knows what it is. But then, whats the price for the truth?
Set in the misty hills of Mount Selinda, The Proverbs Wives explores sisterhood, culture, family,
trauma and how far people are willing to go to stay on top.
