UNCLE TOM'S CABIN
Sinopsis
As Tom is passed from one owner to another, he endures hardship, separation from loved ones, and increasing brutality. Despite suffering and oppression, he maintains his faith, compassion, and moral integrity. Parallel to Toms story is the escape of Eliza, an enslaved woman who flees with her young son to prevent their separation through sale. Her courageous journey toward freedom becomes one of the novels most memorable narratives.
Through a diverse cast of characters, Harriet Beecher Stowe examines the human cost of slavery and challenges readers to confront its moral consequences. The novel portrays both the suffering of enslaved people and the courage of those who resist injustice.
A landmark of American literature, Uncle Toms Cabin played a significant role in shaping public opinion about slavery and remains one of the most influential social protest novels ever written.
