Cross Currents is a compilation of short stories focusing on multiple canoe trips over the course of a summer. Set against the rivers that trace their way across Northern Michigan and Canada’s Algoma Highlands, Ruff incorporates historical pasts, cultural and artistic movements, and his personal journeys down these rivers to form a narrative of our intersection with wild spaces.
