HORSES = CABALLOS

Horse lovers can never get enough of the object of their hearts’ desire. This new book in the popular brick-format is dedicated to them: In 740 pages, the passionate Dutch photographer Arnd Bronkhorst documents his reverence for the horse as a singular creature. Bronkhorst pays homage to the beauty of its body and the elegance of its movements, introduces a wide variety of breeds - some that are widely known and others that are threatened with extinction - and presents portraits of light and racing breeds, draft horses, and adorable ponies. Horses living wild in nature, horses involved in sports, and working horses are topics in this opulent picture book - including, of course, horses that demonstrate their astonishing abilities in prominent places and in imposing images. Unusual perspectives and angles, the gripping quality of each individual image, and the rich variety of visual approaches to an inexhaustible theme lend this book its unmistakeable charm.
