NEVER TRUST YOUR EYES

We think we see the world in splendid detail, in glorious color, in 3D and full motion. But in reality, we only see detail over a tiny area, we are legally blind 25 degrees off center, and we are completely blind for up to half the time our eyes are open! ,Using striking visual illusions, the book demonstrates the eye&rsquo,s huge limitations compared with a modern digital camera but then goes on to show how nature splendidly overcomes these limitations to give us the ultimate illusion of near-perfect sight, that is well matched to our survival in the real, living world.Want to wow your friends with visual illusions and have them saying ",I don',t believe it!",? Interested in photography and learning to take better photos? Just want to understand more about how our eyes or cameras work? Then this is the book for you. Fun and educational at the same time, there is something in this book for every age and every level - from neat tricks and visual illusions that will have you doing a double take to simple explanations of our eyes and cameras that will have you saying ',so that',s how that works!',. Easy to read and easy to follow. Highly recommended.I like the way the author compares the eye and camera - Dr John Saunders, Visiting Lecturer, Optometry and Visual Science, City University, London._,
