ON&ON

On&On is a catalogue of the first-ever exhibition of ephemeral art in Spain: a momentary, fleeting and highly aesthetic experience that evanesces in the presence and with the participation of the observer. Organized by La Casa Encendida , the exhibition and catalogue attempt to jog the visitor's or reader's personal memory and demonstrate the inevitable decadence of nature, which transforms as time passes. None of the pieces on display aim to freeze an image for posterity, but rather to open the observer's eyes to the magic of the moment, the poetry of the present, with its accompanying shifts and changes. The only truly enduring element is the change, the process, the transformation itself.
