March, 1891The refusal of the states of Europe to cc-operate with the United States in the use of both metals upon an agreed ratio of value, may produce disasters in all the countries, but it is not improbable that the consequences will be more serious in England and in Germany than in the United States. In the United States the volume of currency will be increasing constantly, and with the additions to the volume there Will be an enlargement of busi ness and an increase of activity in business pursuits.
