Noches de Sing Sing, primer título de los editados y primero de los reeditados que se vuelve a ofrecer ahora, es probablemente uno de sus trabajos más acabados. Se inscribe en lo que podríamos llamar una temática característica de Keeler, aunque no extraordinaria dentro del panorama general de la literatura. Se trata de una coincidencia del motivo "noche" con el motivo consistente en la determinación de un "espacio" concreto, cerrado, algo claustrofóbico (que puede ser un palacio o una cárcel), en el que se desarrolla la "acción", si puede hablarse de tal, pues ésta consiste en la narración de ciertas historias que relatan sus habitantes (condenados, verdugos…), y que pueden versar sobre un mismo objeto, entrar en contradicción o ser diferentes entre sí. En el conjunto de la bibliografía de Keeler es posible encontrar otros trabajos que siguen esta misma línea, como Noches de ladrones, de 1.942, o Noches de verdugos, de 1.952. El paso del tiempo, el aplazamiento de su final inevitable, representado por el amanecer, mediante una urdimbre de historias sabiamente contadas terminan introduciendo al lector en esa misma noche y en ese mismo espacio. No es una novela para leer únicamente por la noche, pero sí lo es de lectura reposada y apartada, en cierto modo personal. No nos queda sino desear que el lector disfrute de la lectura de estas Noches de Sing Sing.

Dentro de su prolífica obra podemos encontrar obras muy irregulares. Desde pequeñas obras maestras en su género, como esta que presentamos, hasta obras menores e irregulares, de caracter "alimenticio". "Las gafas del señor Cagliostro" fue su novela mas popular en España. En ella, como en ninguna otra, el autor se ve cautivado por la esencia de Keeler: la busqueda de lo azaroso, las casualidades increibles y las situaciones no menos imposibles
