Thomas es un autor superventas del New York Times con su primera novela, Los chicos del cementerio, un romance paranormal con un protagonista trans, gay y latino. Nacido en Oakland, obtuvo un máster en Escritura Creativa en el Mills College. A menudo se refugiaba en el cementerio de Mountain View para olvidar sus problemas.
