Fort Smith.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Caleb Hatcher has hunted Lem Rusk across the Choctaw Nation and finally boxed him beneath a sandstone ledge. Rusk has a lame mare, a failing body, and five rifles aimed from five directions. He should die fighting.
