Sinopsis

Mabon does not require a perfect altar, a country house, or a basket of things bought for the occasion.

In Mabon at Home, Mabel Tern builds autumn-equinox witchcraft from what a lived-in home is already doing: shutting the first cool-night window, bringing out blankets, mending clothes, clearing cupboards, checking the door once before bed, setting a table, and putting rooms back in order.

Forty-eight workings cover thresholds, household care, luck and enoughness, rest, weather, privacy, guests, difficult conversations, lost objects, mending, and seasonal change. Most require no special purchases. The physical job matters: a key controls passage, a cupboard shows what is actually available, a basket holds a finite repair queue, and a lamp marks earlier darkness.

Renter, shared-home, child- and pet-safe, smoke-free, and small-space variants are built into the procedures where they matter.

The book treats Mabon as modern Pagan terminology rather than an ancient Celtic festival name. Documented household custom and folklore are attributed where they exist; modern adaptations and Mabel Terns original workings remain separate.

Mabon at Home is autumn witchcraft for ordinary homes that still need to function while the season changes.
