Theo Nash is starting to believe she can manage her life as an antique appraiser and powerful psychometrist, especially with her new protector, Gavin Hayes. But when the local theater director, Oscar Lowell, brings in a magnificent, antique Venetian mask, Theos fragile calm breaks.

Battling a debilitating sickness and her own mind, Theo must use her last remaining clue—a vision of a hidden trapdoor—to find the stolen property and unmask Oscar Lowell.
