THE BOY WHOSE CLOTHES GREW WITH HIM
Sinopsis
Clarence Gumfudgen has a problem: he cannot make up his mind.
What should he wear? What should he eat? Where should he sit on the school bus? Even multiple-choice questions leave his pencil hovering helplessly over the page. Clarence worries so much about making the wrong decision that he secretly wishes all his choices would simply disappear.
Then, one morning, his wish comes true.
His closet contains only one outfit—and the clothes magically grow whenever he does. Breakfast is always eggs and bacon. Dinner is always meatloaf. Every day becomes comfortable, predictable, and completely free of decisions.
At first, Clarence thinks his new life is perfect. But when his birthday and Christmas vanish from the calendar, friendships begin passing him by, and the forty-third consecutive meatloaf lands on his plate, Clarence realizes that a life without choices is also a life without surprises, celebrations, adventures, or dreams.
With the help of his family, friends, his teacher Mrs. Patterson, and his loyal golden retriever Captain, Clarence must find the courage to choose again—even when he cannot be certain his choice will be perfect.
Funny, imaginative, and filled with heart, The Boy Whose Clothes Grew With Him is a magical story about courage, self-confidence, and trusting yourself. It reminds young readers that making mistakes is part of growing up—and that every friendship, adventure, and interesting story begins with a choice.
