​Maya needed a fresh start. She found a nightmare.
​After a painful divorce and losing everything, Maya moves into a cramped one-bedroom, apartment 4A, in an aging Brooklyn brownstone. Its supposed to be a place where no one knows her story.
​But her new life is immediately disturbed by a rhythmic, persistent thumping sound coming from the wall she shares with her neighbor. It sounds almost like a heartbeat.

​As Rachel appears everywhere—watching, waiting, and dropping chilling hints about Jennifer—Maya becomes desperate. When she breaks into 4B, she finds an apartment frozen in time, filled with photographs of Rachel with dozens of faces over forty years.
​And on the shared wall, hundreds of secret photographs of Maya are displayed, with Jennifer Colemans picture beneath one terrifying number: Number 7.
​When the police investigate, 4B is suddenly empty, its existence denied by building records. Trapped and alone, Maya prepares to flee, but the thumping returns at 2:47 AM—this time, from inside her closet. Behind the wall, she discovers six gaunt women trapped between the walls, all victims of the entity that wears Rachels face.
​Now, the entity is coming for her face. The building wont let her go, and no one can hear her screams.
