About the Authors Dustin Daugherty, MSW, LISW attended the University of Northern Iowa for his Master of Arts Degree in Social Psychology. Mr. Daugherty was highly involved in research and co-published 4 professional articles. He then worked as an in-home therapist, providing services to children and families involved with the Iowa Department of Human Services  Mr. Daugherty earned a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa.  He then worked as an in-home therapist/remedial service provider and co-facilitated an adolescent anger management group. He became a clinical social worker for Child Guidance Center for 2 years before starting his own private practice. Gladys Noll Alvarez, MSW, LISW is the Trauma Informed Care Project Coordinator at Orchard Place/ Child Guidance Center. She earned her Masters in Social Work at the University of Iowa and has been engaged in 2 year-long learning collaboratives through the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.    Ms. Alvarez is a member of the following initiatives
